Evil Elves Part 5
Here’s Stages 1 & 2 of painting the yellow trim on the helmet, shoulders, gloves, belts etc. The base colour, which you could see in the previous photos, is GW Skrag Brown. In these photos, I’ve applied a solid layer of GW Averland Yellow.
Evil Elves Part 4
I’ve completed the blue shoulder pads and helmets. It took a lot of glazing coats but I’m happy with the results.
I’m starting to see the finish line with this project so it’s onto the yellow trim for the shoulders and helmets, followed by general tizzying-up and basing.
Evil Elves Part 3
The Melnibone Stormers are coming along nicely. I’m up to the very important shoulder pads and helmets. They’re a focal point of the models so they need to stand out…in a good way, that is.
These pictures show an intermediate phase of the paint job for these areas and, as you’ve no doubt noticed, make the model look…er..funky. Have no fear, all will soon come good, honest.
Evil Elves Part 2
The painting of my Melnibone Stormers Dark Elf Blood Bowl team is coming along apace, and that pace would be glacial.
Nonetheless, there has been progress and here’s the proof. I’ll eventually adjust the skin tone of the thrower model to make him an albino. Wouldn’t be Melnibonean without Elric, would it?
Evil Elves Part 1
I've been inspired! I’ve been playing SuperCoach NFL Fantasy Football (Go the Currazona Cards!) which has prompted me to resurect a project that was begun nearly 30 years ago but has been in...er…lost in the megaflow of the multiverse. I give you the Melnibone Stormers! (a tip of the hat to the Elric series of stories and the Melbourne Storm).
